Reporting a change of address
You must report the municipality of Ouder-Amstel if you move house within Ouder-Amstel or from another city in the Netherlands to Ouder-Amstel. Reporting a new address is free of charge.

If you would rather report your move in person at the town hall, you can do so via:
Make an appointment (in Dutch) Select option "Verhuizing doorgeven".
Bring the following documents to your appointment:
- A valid identification document;
- A copy of your signed owner-occupied property or rental agreement;
- If you are moving in with someone: written permission from the main occupant (pdf, 34 kB) and a copy of the main occupant's valid identification document.
Who can register the new address with the municipality:
- Yourself, if you are 16 years of age or older;
- The parent, guardian, or caregiver for minor children;
- Cohabiting spouses or registered partners for each other;
- Cohabiting parents and adult children for each other;
- The curator for a person placed under guardianship; and
- An adult who is authorized in writing for this purpose.
You have to register your new address with the municipality:
- From 4 weeks before the move
- Up to 5 days after the move
Reporting a move is free of charge.
Moving to another town within the Netherlands
Report your move to your new municipality. The municipality of Ouder-Amstel will then deregister you.
Moving from abroad
If you are moving to Ouder-Amstel from abroad, you need to complete an initial registration. To do this, please make an appointment by calling (020) 496 21 21.
- If you are moving within or to Ouder-Amstel, please notify Waternet yourself for your drinking water. You should also do this if you are moving to a different municipality. Go to waternet.nl/en/
- You do not need to report your move to Waternet for your water board tax. However, do report the municipality where you are going to live, about your new address. The municipality will forward your information to Waternet.
